About Saurdo.com
A brief explanation of Saurdo.com
I started Saurdo.com in 2005 as a playground where I could exercise my programming knowledge. I have used this website to share my ideas, my knowledge, my creations, and my services. As a developer I have always strived for usability, simplicity, and quality. The web today is all about user generated content and dynamic websites. Whether that means giving your users complete control over the content your website provides or simply creating a system for yourself that enables you to modify the content of your site. I use a combination of PHP, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, XML, and AJAX providing you with an easy to use interface and a dynamically driven website.

Use my contact form to e-mail me about any scripts you need or website ideas you have. Before I give you a quote, I will discuss your idea with you to ensure that I know what you want and you know what I am building.

Past Projects
Some of the projects that I own and have released to the public
I have worked on a number of projects over the years. To really get a sense of my experience in web development I would reccomend checking out the "development" category of my main website. The following are projects that I own (nobody hired me to make) and that I am most proud of:

I started my affiliation with the nunya clan as someone who regularly played the game "Battlefield 2" with them. The clan was mostly made up of friends they've found while playing the game. When I heard they didn't have a website I volunteered to make one for them. From there the clan grew exponentially and it is now the largest Battlefield 2 clan and they now own the #1 Battlefield 2 server in the world. The website has a custom gallery, where users can upload their own pictures, and a forum they can use for dicussion. The website also provides them with a money management system to help pay for their server costs.
Reefsome is a reef keeping website where hobbyists can get together and share their knowledge and their hard work. My friend came to me with the idea and I helped him get the website going by building him an image management system where users can create custom galleries. I tied the image management system in with the VBulletin forum system by using the tools vbulletin provides to create custom forum modifications. I also assisted in the creation of a content management system that controls the content of the entire main website. Using this system people can post articles, guides, information about fish or coral, and attach images to their posts using an online image attachment system.
Saurdo Gallery was my very first PHP project. As a digital photographer I wanted a way to easily upload and organize my photographs on my website without having to move them to a specefic folder. I found a wordpress plugin that sort of did this but it wasn't quite right. So I invested the time to make my own program from scratch and from there invested more time to make it portable to all server configurations. From there I went on to make three more versions over the course of several years.
Some years ago I moved to a host that did not have directory listing enabled in its Apache settings. This was a problem for me because I had a very extensive collection of files and images that I liked to send to friends for them to browse through. I looked online for a directory listing script that suited my needs but the few directory listers that existed seemed to be very limited in functionality. So I made my own. The one thing I am most proud of in this program is the ease of installation. All you have to do is drop the one PHP file and the file type images into the folder you wish to use and the script will start working its magic.

There are, of course, other projects I have worked on but I do not want to list all of them because they either don't belong to me, are too hard to convey with a screenshot, or are currently in development.

PHP programming
Contact forms, automated scripts, upload forms, etc.
PHP is one of the most popular server side languages. This service includes creating PHP scripts which don't necessarily control the content of your website. Anything that performs automated tasks, behind the scenes stuff, or something for your personal use. I've written hundreds of unique PHP scripts each doing a very specific task.

Prices range from low to high depending on complexity. E-mail me for an inquiry.

AJAX programming
Pretty much anything the PHP service includes.
AJAX is the language of web 2.0 and anybody who sees it will be instantly impressed. You can do anything you could do in PHP with AJAX only you don't need to ever load a new page to access new content. It will do it automatically and dynamically.

Prices range from low to high depending on complexity and will be higher than a standard PHP script. E-mail me for an inquiry.

JavaScript programming
Form handling, galleries, animation, navigation, etc.
JavaScript got the DHTML era of web development started. Without JavaScript we wouldn't have AJAX to fuel web 2.0 or any of the effects you see on millions of websites world wide. JavaScript can be used for thousands of purposes for anything that is loaded or checked dynamically.

Design
Custom designed websites.
My major goals in designing a website are asthetics, compatibility, and usability. Not only does a website have to look good but it also has to run flawlessly on any internet browser that accesses it and if the user happens to be using some insanely small resolution on a 15 year old monitor I want to make sure they can still read and use the website. This website for example can be shrunk to the smallest possible width your browser will go and still not create a horizontal scroll.

Dynamically driven websites
Content management systems, subscription based, admin areas, etc.
Do you have a great website idea in mind but don't have the know how to do it yourself? Or maybe you just want a simple content management system that you can post news on. Well, I have a solution for you! Using a combination of mysql, PHP, JavaScript, AJAX, CSS, and HTML I can make you a website that you can easily manage and visitors/customers can easily use.

Prices range from low to high depending on complexity. If it's a massive project I may request to be paid hourly. I ask that you give a detailed project outline when you E-mail me for an inquiry.

Other Services
Installation of PHP, program installation, etc
If you think I can do it then I might be able to do it! It doesn't hurt to ask. Any web related thing that you don't want to do yourself or aren't really sure what the best method of action is.
