My major goals in designing a website are cosmetics, compatibility, and usability. Not only does a website have to look good but it also has to run flawlessly on any internet browser that accesses it and if the user happens to be using some insanely small resolution on a 15 year old monitor I want to make sure they can still read and use the website.
